As usual, it's been a busy few months, both in the studio and without. In amongst my regular painting, weekly classes have begun, as has personal tutoring. Taster workshops have taken place, and I've even attended a weaving workshop, which was great fun! I've done a demonstration to a local art group, and some big commissions have been started, and some are already finished.
I've been involved with events like Warwickshire Open Studios' first ever Plein Air competition, and the subsequent exhibition at East Lodge Gallery. There has also been an exhibition at Rugby Art Gallery and Museum, celebrating 21 years of WOS, and I've even managed to squeeze in a break or two, first in Pembrokeshire and now in Galloway. Like us, Monty loves a beach, but runs away from the sea!
As a result of all this activity, all of it very satisfying and enjoyable, I seem to have absented myself from social media almost entirely, AND neglected my website, to the extent that this is now your September/October/November newsletter. Embarrassing. And rude!
In fact, I have neglected things for so long, that I was nervous about starting up again. How ridiculous is that?! Why would anyone have even noticed that I haven't posted a new blog or sent an email, and even if they had, surely they wouldn't mind?
So I decided that if no-one minds, then it really doesn't matter does it?! Mind over matter!!
While I'm here, and hopefully you've read this far, here are some Dates for your Diary:

EXCITING NEWS!
With the kind support of Rugby Art Gallery and Museum, RAAM are taking over the old Thorntons shop in Rugby Central during the run-up to Christmas, and afterwards until mid-January. The shop opens on Saturday 4th December with a gallery, live demonstrations, stalls and lots of local arts. There will be lots of opportunities to meet a whole range of local artists and makers, to see them working and have a chat.
Check out the details on their website here
It would be lovely to see you at some point, and I promise to try harder at keeping in touch!
