I know. So many calls on your time, so many things happening at this time of year. It's the same for everyone I fear. However, if you're looking for some relaxing down time, how about visiting a working studio or a vibrant, new Arts centre? It might be just the tonic you need!
For various reasons, I have been careful not to over commit this festive season. As a result, I'm staying local, very local. My home studio in Toft and Alexandra Art in the centre of Rugby.
Here are the details:
Winter Open Studio
When - Saturday 19th & Sunday 20th November 2022 11am - 4pm
Where - At my home studio Toft Place, Toft Lane Dunchurch CV22 6NR
On entering Toft Lane, take the first entrance on the right. The left hand set of black gates should be open and well signposted
What - Tempted as I was to call this a Christmas event, I've gone with Winter as it seems less limiting. However, be assured, there will be some festive elements!
I'm currently working on some new pieces that will be shown for the first time. Too early to say exactly what will be finished (and framed) in time...
However, the Superblooms, St Brides Hydrangea and Bad Hair Dahlia, will be there in both original and print, plus some new florals, as will some Cornish seascapes. There will be a wide selection of more familiar favourites, originals and prints, as well as some lesser known pieces.
Also, of course, the ever popular greetings cards, cushions and a few gifts.
Parking - There is space for several cars in the drive, but if it should be full, the lane itself is too narrow. Alternative spots should be available on Sandford Way, which is a short walk back over the bridge.
Accessibility - Please be aware, my studio is up a flight of stairs. There is a handrail, but no alternative, accessible entrance.
Facilities - There is a toilet on the ground floor.

Art At The Alex
I'm delighted to say that a selection of my work will be exhibited at the Alex throughout December 2022. I am expecting to be there in person on the weekend of 10th - 11th, and hopefully at other times during the lead up to Christmas.
